Uganda Cranes forward Rogers Mato delivered a match-winning performance as Brera Strumica secured a 1-0 victory over Besa Doberdoll on Wednesday.
Mato scored the game’s only goal in the 61st minute at Stadiumi i qytetit, lifting his side to sixth place on the league table with 19 points from 16 matches.
Mato’s Impressive Season
The former KCCA star has been pivotal for Brera Strumica this season, contributing two goals and four assists in 16 games.
Beyond his club exploits, Mato has been instrumental in Uganda’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign.
He featured in all six qualifiers, scoring a crucial goal in a 2-2 draw against South Africa and assisting Aziz Kayondo’s strike in a 2-0 win over Congo Brazzaville.

Brera Strumica returns to action on Sunday, December 1, against Rabotnicki as they look to climb higher in the standings.
