World No 4 Iga Swiatek has turned to Francisco Roig, Rafael Nadal’s former long-time coach, after a poor run of results.
The six-time Grand Slam champion split with Wim Fissette following early exits in Australia, Doha, Indian Wells and Miami.
Swiatek, a four-time French Open winner, began training with Roig at Nadal’s academy in Mallorca and says his technical eye and experience will guide her clay-court season, starting at the Stuttgart Open.
Roland Garros begins on 24 May.
