The Reds controlled the game from the outset, with their relentless pressing and incisive passing leaving Real Madrid struggling to find their rhythm.

Alexis Mac Allister opened the scoring in the 52nd minute, capitalizing on a clever one-two with Conor Bradley.
Cody Gakpo doubled Liverpool’s lead in the 76th minute, heading home a well-placed cross from Andy Robertson.

The match was not without its dramatic moments. Both Mohamed Salah and Kylian Mbappé missed penalties, highlighting the tension and intensity of the encounter.

However, Liverpool’s defensive resilience, led by Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate, proved to be the difference.

Under the guidance of manager Arne Slot, Liverpool have displayed a new level of intensity and tactical acumen.

With a commanding lead at the top of the Champions League table, Liverpool are well-positioned to progress to the knockout stages.
