Undefeated heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (38) has brushed aside concerns about his age ahead of his undisputed title rematch with Daniel Dubois (26) this Saturday, July 19, at Wembley Stadium.
Usyk, aiming for a third undisputed championship across weight classes, declared, “I am not an old guy – 38 is not old. We will see.”
Usyk previously stopped Dubois in the ninth round of their August 2023 bout. Despite being the older fighter, Usyk has maintained a calm demeanor at pre-fight events, leaving the jibes to his and Dubois’s teams.
He holds a perfect 23-0 record and fond memories of London, including an Olympic gold in 2012, though this marks his first professional fight at Wembley.
Dubois, who stunned Anthony Joshua at the same venue last September, enters the fight on a three-bout winning streak.
“I’m going to write my own script,” Dubois stated, aiming to become the first British undisputed heavyweight champion in the four-belt era since Lennox Lewis in 1999. Dubois’s record stands at 22-2, with 21 knockouts.
