Crystal Palace is scrambling to find a replacement for Eberechi Eze after a dramatic turn of events saw him choose Arsenal over a long-negotiated transfer to Tottenham.
The Gunners’ late offer came after an injury to Kai Havertz.
Palace is now reportedly targeting Villarreal’s attacking midfielder, Yeremy Pino, as a potential replacement.
The move is a major blow for Tottenham, who had been in talks with Palace for ten days for a deal worth up to £55 million. Eze, a boyhood Arsenal fan, is said to favor a move to the Gunners, with the deal progressing quickly.
In addition to Pino, Palace is also considering Christos Tzolis, El Bilal Khannouss, and Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott as they work to find a suitable replacement before the transfer window closes.
