Hoima City Stadium is now shining bright with a new LED lighting system that illuminates Uganda’s national colors, black, yellow, and red, around the stadium exterior, creating a striking visual symbol of national pride.
The installation, completed this week, adds a vibrant glow to the state-of-the-art facility as it nears completion ahead of its December commissioning.
The colorful LED display wraps around the outer façade of the stadium, transforming the skyline of Hoima City at night and giving residents an early glimpse of what will soon become one of Uganda’s most iconic landmarks.
According to project officials, the lights are programmable and energy-efficient, allowing the stadium to project various lighting themes for national celebrations, sporting events, and cultural occasions.
The LED installation marks one of the final aesthetic touches on the $129 million complex, which also includes a 20,000-seater main stadium, a 2,000-capacity indoor arena, a semi-Olympic swimming pool, and training pitches.
The Hoima City Stadium remains closed to the public as contractors finalize the remaining works before its official commissioning by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in December.
