Nottingham Forest have sacked manager Ange Postecoglou following a 3-0 home defeat to Chelsea.
The Australian’s stint lasted just 39 days (appointed Sept 9), making it the shortest managerial reign in Premier League history.
Postecoglou failed to win any of his eight matches in charge (two draws, six defeats) and collected only one point from five Premier League games, leaving Forest one point above the relegation zone.
The club stated: “Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties as head coach with immediate effect.”
