Jannik Sinner clinched his fourth title of the season at the Vienna Open, fighting back from a set down and battling early hamstring cramp to defeat Alexander Zverev 3-6, 6-3, 7-5.
The victory extends the Italian’s indoor hard-court winning streak to 21 matches. After the final, Zverev praised Sinner as “currently the best player in the world.”
In the Vienna doubles final, Great Britain’s Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool secured their seventh Tour-level title of the season.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old Brazilian star Joao Fonseca triumphed at the Swiss Indoors in Basel.
He became the third-youngest ATP 500 champion in history, defeating Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 6-3, 6-4 to claim the biggest title of his career.
