The Makerere University Guild League (Mak Guild) has announced that the Season 3 Grand Finale will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Moi Stadium in Kisumu, Kenya.
This year’s finale carries special significance, as it will be dedicated to the Late Right Honourable Raila Amolo Odinga, former Prime Minister of Kenya, in recognition of his lifelong contribution to democracy, reconciliation, and regional unity.
The choice of Kisumu as the host city also pays tribute to Professor Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o, the current Governor of Kisumu County and former Makerere University Guild President (1969–1970).
His continued solidarity with his alma mater has played a key role in making this historic cross-border collaboration possible.
As part of the official program, the Makerere University Guild League delegation will visit Raila Odinga’s graveside for prayers and meet his family at Opoda Farm in Bondo Town, underscoring the spirit of remembrance and unity that defines this year’s edition.
The 2025 finale is expected to be a moment of friendship and reflection, celebrating the shared heritage and values that bind Uganda and Kenya under the East African community.
