David Sullivan has quit as West Ham’s joint chairman and director after being told of “serious historic allegations” soon to be published.
The 77‑year‑old, who denies any “illegal conduct,” leaves immediately to handle the matter privately. The club confirmed the allegations do not concern West Ham.

Sullivan became majority shareholder after David Gold’s death in 2023, but his tenure has faced fan protests and ended with relegation last month. Interim CEO Karim Virani will run daily operations while the board reviews its future structure.
