Kampala City BSC have successfully defended their FUFA Beach Soccer League title after a commanding 5-2 victory over St Lawrence University BSC in the 2025/26 final played at Bamboo Gardens Beach Soccer Arena in Kasanje.
The champions wrapped up another dominant campaign by finishing top of the regular season standings with 33 points from 14 matches. They won 11 games, scored a massive 81 goals and conceded 36, finishing ahead of St Lawrence University BSC, MUBS BSC and Mutoola BSC, who all progressed to the play offs.
Their road to the final was just as impressive. In the semi finals, Kampala City BSC swept aside Mutoola BSC 8-4 in a high scoring encounter, with Edweu Godfrey stealing the spotlight after netting six goals while Nkuubi Brian added a brace. Mutoola responded through Kirya Samson, Nsenge Paul and Mukwata Peter, with Nsenge also scoring twice.
St Lawrence University BSC booked their place in the final after edging MUBS BSC 5-3 in their semi final clash. Kikambi Martin scored once while Ssimbwa Swaleh and Lukyamuzi Paul both grabbed a brace each. MUBS BSC replied through Magumba Stuart, Mbabazi Worrick Joe and Bingana Malik.
MUBS BSC later claimed third place after a 4-2 win over Mutoola BSC in the play off, with Bingana Malik and Mbabazi Worrick Joe both scoring twice, while Kakwaya Swaibu netted a brace for Mutoola.
In the final, Kampala City BSC showed their class once again. Hassan Ali opened the scoring before Opuuli Sharif and Edweu Godfrey each struck twice to seal the 5-2 win. St Lawrence University BSC managed goals through Kikonyogo Jonathan and Lubega Sharif, but could not stop the defending champions from lifting the trophy again.
At the end of the season, Opuuli Sharif was named Most Valuable Player after a standout campaign for Kampala City. Edweu Godfrey finished as Top Scorer, while Omedwa Rogers was recognised as Best Goalkeeper. Zzinda Ali of MUBS BSC picked up Best Coach, and Mengo Hill BSC were awarded the Fair Play Team honour.
The Team of the Season featured Omedwa Rogers, Opuuli Sharif, Mukwata Peter, Ssendi Joseph and Edweu Godfrey, highlighting the strong presence of Kampala City BSC players after another dominant run in the competition.
