You’re the Owners of this Game – Magogo to Grassroots Football Stakeholders

The Federation of Ugandan Football Associations (FUFA) Executive Country Tour made the latest stop in the Buganda Region Football Association. The tour, according to FUFA is aimed at fostering closer ties with football stakeholders and addressing grassroots challenges.

On the concluding day of the tour in Buganda Region at Lydirenes Hotel in Luwero, FUFA President Hon. Moses Magogo reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to listening and engaging with the football community.

“We listened to your call and that’s the main reason we are here to welcome and listen to your ideas,” he stated.

Magogo emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong connection between FUFA and the football grassroots, likening football to a tree with roots, stems, and leaves.

“Just like you construct a house, it starts with a foundation. We need to keep reminding you of your value to football, and you’re the owners of this game,” he added.

The main objectives of the interaction, led by President Magogo, included explaining FUFA’s detailed grassroots football programs, addressing challenges faced by lower leagues in Uganda, responding to stakeholders’ issues, and charting a way forward for the sport.

“We are here to hear your challenges, but it is our responsibility to find solutions,” Magogo assured the stakeholders.

The FUFA Executive Country Tour is set to continue its journey across various regions in Uganda, including the Western Region, Northern Region, Kitara Region, West Nile Region, and North East Region over the coming weeks.
