Pirates Survive Rhinos Scare to Reach Rugby Championship Semi-finals

In an intense quarter-final clash, the Stanbic Black Pirates narrowly escaped defeat against the Rhinos to secure their spot in the semi-finals of the Nile Special Rugby Championship.

Entering the game with a slim 10-7 lead from the first round, the Pirates faced a daunting challenge as they found themselves trailing 21-0 at halftime during the second leg. However, strategic halftime substitutions proved pivotal as the sea robbers mounted a remarkable comeback, clinching the second round 30-27 and ultimately triumphing 40-34 on aggregate.
