Wankulukuku To Host Uganda Cup Final

The Federation of Football Associations of Uganda (FUFA) has officially announced that the much-anticipated Uganda Cup final will take place at the Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku, the home ground of both Express and SC Villa.

Set for May 25th, the upcoming final will see Kitara and NEC face off in a historic showdown, marking the debut appearances of both clubs in the prestigious Cup final.

Both Kitara and NEC earned their spots in the final after impressive campaigns. Kitara FC, fresh from their promotion to the Premier League from the FUFA Big League last season, secured their berth by defeating third division side Pajule Lions with a convincing 4-1 aggregate victory in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, NEC, also newly promoted to the Premier League, booked their place in the final by overcoming BUL with a 3-1 aggregate triumph.

The winners of the Uganda Cup not only claim the prestigious trophy but also secure a cash prize of UGX 50 million and a ticket to compete in the CAF Confederations Cup.
