Anthony Mayanja says that he has joined BUL FC to help the club win more trophies.
Mayanja made the comments on Wednesday after signing with the Jinja based side with the midfielder understood to have signed a two-year deal with BUL until 2024.
“I am excited to join the winning team,” Mayanja said.
“BUL won the Uganda cup last season and I come to provide more efforts so that we can win more trophies in the coming seasons.”
BUL has hit the transfer market hard this season as they prepare to take part in the 2022/23 CAF Confederations Cup.
The Eastern Giants qualified for the continental competition after winning the 2022 Uganda Cup. About the Confederations Cup, Mayanja says that BUL will compete in the competition.
“I am ready for the task at hand especially in the CAF confederation cup, even if the competition is not easy, we are going there to compete, not to participate.”
Mayanja is BUL’s fifth signing this off-season. He joins the likes of Frank Kalanda, Tom Ikara, Emmanuel Obua and Ronald Otti who joined the club earlier.
