Sudan extended their lead in Group B of the CAF World Cup Qualifiers with a commanding 3-0 victory over South Sudan in a highly anticipated match at the newly inaugurated Juba National Stadium.
The match, attended by dignitaries including South Sudanese President Salva Kiir Mayardit and FIFA President Gianni Infantino, marked a historic moment for the nation’s sporting landscape.
Sudan took the lead just before halftime with a goal from Walieldin Khedr in the 45th minute. In the second half, Yasir Mozamil (51′) and Mohamed Abdelrahman (78′) secured the win for Sudan with their goals.
