In a thrilling encounter at the MTN Arena, the Namuwongo Blazers narrowly defeated the JKL Dolphins Men with a final score of 81-76.

The Blazers started strong, leading by 15 points at the end of the first period, 30-15. However, the Dolphins clawed back, narrowing the gap through consistent scoring, including a notable fourth-period push where they scored 24 points. Peter Cheng led the Blazers with 16 points and 12 rebounds, supported by Arthur Wanyoto, who added 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists. Chuol Nyuot contributed significantly with 9 points and 8 rebounds, while Paul Odong and Daniel Gaaki chipped in with 10 and 7 points, respectively.

For the Dolphins, Martin Buluma Ouma was a standout performer, recording a double-double with 20 points, 16 rebounds, and 8 assists. Kabangu Clement also made a notable contribution with 8 rebounds and 6 points, while Guddi Nasser added 8 points.

The game saw a fierce battle in the paint, with the Blazers securing 62 rebounds to the Dolphins’ 49. Both teams struggled with turnovers, with NBC committing 30 and JKL 29. However, NBC’s efficiency at the free-throw line, making 15 of 32 attempts, provided a crucial edge over JKL’s 4 of 10.

The final moments of the game were tense, with JKL’s Martin Buluma Ouma missing crucial free throws that could have closed the gap further. A decisive free throw by Daniel Gaaki in the final seconds sealed the victory for the Blazers.
