After announcing that he will be leaving Ghanian side Asante Kotoko following the expiry of his contract, Uganda Cranes forward Steven Mukwala has a pool of choices to choose from for his future.
Tanzanian powerhouse Simba, Moldovan Premier League champions Petro Club, Egyptian side Zamalek, and Moroccan outfit Raja Casablanca are all interested in the services of the striker.
However, the former seems to be his next destination according to Ghanian based African football journalist Micky Junior.
“Steven Mukwala to Simba is almost done,” the African transfer guru tweeted.
“Talks between scout and Mo Dewji together with the player in recent days have been very positive and a deal is almost completed.”
“Mukwala is wanted by Petro Club in Moldova to play in the UEFA Champions League but told them, he wants to play for Simba.”
The former Vipers, URA, and Maroons player joined Asante Kotoko in the summer transfer window of 2022 penning a two-year contract.
He played 59 games in all competitions for the Kumasi club and scored 25 goals.
The club had a new contract offer on the table for the 24-year-old but he had already decided to embark on a new adventure.
It is believed that he has already been accepted to a three-year contract with the Reds of Msimbazi.
Once the deal materializes, he will join the likes of former Uganda Cranes captain Emmanuel Okwi and midfielder Taddeo Lwanga who have also played for Simba previously.
