Training for Security Stewards to Commence Ahead of Rugby Africa Cup

In preparation for the Rugby Africa Cup scheduled from July 18th to 29th at the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole, final arrangements have been made for the training and orientation of security stewards.

Dickson Okello, a certified crowd control personnel and the Tournament Security Manager, announced that the training session will commence this Sunday, June 30th, at Kyadondo Rugby Club.

The training session will begin promptly at 9:00 am and is open to volunteers who have passed the final screening process. Okello emphasized that participants should come dressed in sports attire as they will undergo comprehensive orientation and practical training in crowd management and security protocols.

With the tournament expecting a significant influx of spectators and participants from across the continent, the role of trained security stewards is paramount in maintaining order and enhancing the overall experience for attendees.

Uganda will host six countries including neighbours Kenya, defending champions Namibia, Zimbabwe, Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, and Burkina Faso.
