FUFA have issued the key dates for the 2024/25 season with a primary focus on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
The prestigious SUPL will commence on Friday, September 13 while the fixtures will be released almost a month earlier on Friday, August 16.
Meanwhile, the FUFA Big League which is Uganda’s second-tier division will begin a week later on Sunday, September 22.
The FUFA Women Super League (FWSL) will get underway on Sunday, September 8 whereas the FUFA Women Elite League (FWEL) will roll off on Saturday, September 21.
It is worthy to note that the transfer window will officially open next week on Tuesday, July 1 and close on Saturday, September 21.
SC Villa will play next season as the defending champions and they will have a tight schedule at the beginning of the season with assignments in the CAF Champions League and Kagame Club Championship as well.
The Kagame Club Championship will be played between Saturday, July 7 and Monday, July 22 in Tanzania and Zanzibar.
Dusan Stojanovic’s men will thereafter kickoff their Champions League campaign in the preliminary round between Friday, August 16 and Sunday, August 18.
Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC and Kitara FC are the other Ugandan sides that will be playing on the continent in the CAF Women’s Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup, respectively.
Kawempe clinched last season’s FWSL title whilst Kitara were the Uganda Cup winners.
