The 2022/23 FUFA Women Super League winners, Kampala Queens have released 10 players including the league’s all-time leading goal scorer, Hasifah Nassuna.
Nassuna became the first player to score a century of goals in the WSL during her final season with UCU Lady Cardinals, a record she will carry for many years to come.
She would later leave the Mukono-based outfit to join the FUFA President Moses Magogo-owned Kampala Queens in 2022.
Nassuna penned a two-year contract at the start of the 2022/23 season with the Queens of Soccer which has now expired and not renewed.
The 26-year-old is not only the WSL’s top scorer but also the most decorated female player in the league with five titles.
The 2016 FUFA Female Player of the Year won the WSL thrice with Kawempe Muslim, and one apiece with UCU and Kampala Queens.
Her individual cabinet is filled with more awards including; the Most Valuable Player in 2015, 2016, and 2019.
Nassuna also won the golden boot twice in the 2016/17 and 2018/19 campaigns. With the Crested Cranes, she clinched the CECEFA in 2022 and also captained the team at 2022 WAFCON in Morocco.
The club captain Zaina Namuleme and Lillian Mutuuzo are the other notable exits from the palace.
