FUFA ExCom Tour: Magogo Emphasizes Duty to Answer Stakeholders’ Questions

FUFA President Hon. Moses Magogo addressed football leaders from the West Nile region, emphasizing the federation’s dedication to accountability and informed decision-making.

Speaking at a meeting in Arua attended by representatives from the District Football Associations of Arua, Yumbe, Maracha, Koboko, Adjumani, Zombo, Nebbi, Pakwach, Obongi, Moyo, Terego, and Madi-Okollo, President Magogo highlighted the federation’s duty to provide answers and listen to the concerns of football stakeholders.

“We are accountable to you, ask questions and we must give you answers for it is our duty. We have a right to answer you, that is our duty just as it is your duty to demand answers,” Magogo stated.

He underscored the importance of understanding the challenges faced by the football community, urging stakeholders not to assume their issues are known but to voice them directly.

Magogo stressed that the FUFA Executive Committee (ExCom) is committed to making well-informed decisions, emphasizing, “The ExCom is the topmost decision-making body, it is responsible for making allocations and programmes and would want to make informed decisions.”

The meeting, part of the FUFA ExCom tour, provided a platform for the federation to engage with grassroots leaders directly.

Magogo expressed gratitude to the attendees for participating, noting, “This is an opportunity to meet and talk to you, thank you for honouring our invitation. It was a decision of the FUFA Executive Committee that let us go down and interface with the people at the grassroots.”

FUFA say their tour in Arua is part of their efforts to bridge the gap between the federation and the football community, ensuring that the voices of those at the grassroots level are heard and considered in the decision-making process.
