Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club secured their first victory of the new campaign following their convincing 4-0 win over Busoga United on Tuesday at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja.
Making his first start of the season, Living ‘Messi’ Kabon was the star of the show. The former Onduparaka playmaker notched a brace with his first being the game’s opener. His second wrapped up the scoring as it came in the 58th minutes.
Derrick Nsibambi and George Ssenkaba were on target as well as the tax collectors got their season going.
For his display, Kabon was awarded the Man of the Match award.
That victory saw URA ascend to the fourth position in the table standings now with 5 points while Busoga United stay closer to the dreaded zone with 3 points. It was Busoga’s third defeat of the season.
The other game that was lined up for Tuesday wasn’t played owing to the afternoon downpour. Express were set the take on Gaddafi at their home in Wankulukuku, but the game was abandoned due the heavy downpour.
