Resty Nanziri scored the only goal of the game as Kampala Queens defeated Lady Doves in Masindi on match-day 7 of the FUFA Women’s Super League. It was a contest that required the Queens to hold on in the last exchanges as Lady Doves pushed for a leveler

The three points mean Kampala Queens now move to 21 points on the standings, eight above second placed UCU Lady Cardinals. They return to action next weekend at home to record champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies at IUIU grounds in Kabojja.

In the other games played on match-day 7, Spencer Nakacwa was on target for She Corporate in their one-all draw at Kawempe Muslim Ladies. Hadija Nandago netted for the hosts on a day that saw Kawempe squander several goal-scoring opportunities.

In Soroti, Cecilia Apiding helped herself to a brace as Olila High school defeated Uganda Martyrs 4-1. Bira Nadunga nd Eunice Ariokot scored the other goals for the hosts while Brenda Munyana netted for Uganda Martyrs.

In Wakiso, Rines took care of Asubo Gafford Ladies 4-1 at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium with Eva Naggayi scoring twice while Phiona Archa and Yesmeen Nalukwago each scored once. Halima Nakaayi grabbed Gafford Ladies would be consolation.

In mukono, Asiat Nalugwa and Jovia Nakagolo were both on target for UCU as they beat Makerere University 2-1. Daphine Nalubowa struck d the only goal for the visitors.

The FUFA women super league will resume next weekend. Kampala Queens are still on top of the standings with 21 maximum points, UCU lady cardinals are second on 13 while Uganda Martyrs drop to third.
