Against DR Congo, the Silverbacks exhibited exceptional teamwork and strategic play, clinching victory with a final score of 21:17.

Against Togo, they once again triumphed with a score of 21:16, solidifying their position at the top of the group.

Currently tied on points with Burkina Faso, the Silverbacks hold the advantage due to their superior points scored.

With their eyes set on the playoffs, Uganda is gearing up to face Burkina Faso in their next match.

The Silverbacks’ stellar performance can be attributed to the exceptional talent and dedication of their roster, which includes standout players such as Jesse Marvin Okurut and Joel Kayira from UCU Canons, Peter Obleng from KIU, and Duncan Lubwama from JT Jaguars.

Meanwhile, as the men’s team continues their quest for glory, Uganda’s women’s basketball team, the Gazzells are set to kick off their campaign today, March 19.

They will face formidable opponents in Nigeria and Togo, as they aim to emulate the success of their male counterparts and make their mark on the tournament.
