NEC Raid Police as Uganda Cup Quarterfinals Start

Police FC will host Premier league side NEC FC this Wednesday at the Kavumba grounds as the Stanbic Uganda Cup quarter finals start. Police obliterated another premier league side Soltilo Bright stars with a 4-0 win at the Round of 16 with goals from Isaac Ogwang who bagged a brace while Herman Wasswa and Steven Kabuye added a goal each. “I think the boys are ready, we had enough time to prepare and we are in good shape for the game,” said Samson Kirya, the NEC FC captain.

Police fc coach Simon Peter Mugerwa wants his charges to make home advantage count. “Playing a top level team in NEC, we have our goals as a team. We are going to prepare very well to see that we progress to the next level,” he noted. NEC meanwhile ejected Busoga United courtesy of Joseph Dhata’s only first half goal. Action will continue on Saturday with Pajule Lions taking on Pakwach Young stars in Pader before Kitara welcomes defending champions Vipers SC in Masindi on Sunday.
