Corporate Games 2nd Outing Sees Companies Unite Through Sports

Companies from across Uganda converged for the highly anticipated second outing of the Corporate Games on Sunday, April 14th, 2024. Despite the morning downpour, the enthusiasm remained unyielding as corporate teams geared up to compete in Football, Basketball, and Volleyball.

Braving the muddy battlegrounds, representatives from a diverse array of companies, including Airtel Uganda, Uganda Airlines, PKF, and many more, showcased their athletic prowess and teamwork amidst the challenging weather conditions.

Notable CEOs and executives took to the fields and courts, embodying the spirit of leadership and collaboration. Dr. Daniel M Talemwa, CEO of TMR International Hospital, praised the initiative of Corporate Games Uganda for fostering unity and networking opportunities among corporations. He emphasized the importance of such events in promoting physical fitness and creating social and business networks while expressing gratitude for the medical support provided to all participants.

In volleyball, leaders like Joe Kigozi, Deputy ED Next Media, and Dr. Andrew Ssekitoleko, CEO of St. Francis Nsambya Hospital, led their teams with passion and determination, securing victories through skillful play and teamwork.

On the football field, figures like Mr. Bamwesigye Marceline, Assistant Commissioner of Immigration, and Mr. Sumesh D’Cruz, CEO of PKF, showcased strategic prowess as they guided their teams through the rain-soaked pitches, demonstrating the power of unity and coordination.

Amidst the competitive fervor, bonds were forged, and friendships strengthened as players from different companies cheered each other on and exhibited moments of sportsmanship and respect. The basketball court buzzed with excitement as teams battled for dominance, dribbling and dunking with intensity.

The Corporate Games continues to serve as a platform for fostering teamwork, leadership, and healthy living within the corporate community. Looking ahead, the 3rd outing is scheduled for March 12th, 2024, featuring disciplines such as Soccer, Tug of War, and Netball.
