All Set for Ndejje League Season 4 Opener

Kings Park Arena is set to come alive this Sunday, April 21st, at 11 am, as the much-anticipated fourth season of the Ndejje League kicks off. The Bweyogerere-based sports ground will play host to 16 teams, spanning cohorts from 1997 to 2023.

Its debut season in 2019 saw the Diagonals class of 2000-2005 emerge victorious with the Highbury Ruffians the most recent champions.

Marjorie Nancy Nalinnya, the President of the Ndejje League, highlighted the league’s significance during an interview with NBS Sport.

“Ndejje League is a platform that reunites former students of Ndejje Senior Secondary School to engage in football, reconnect, and foster camaraderie,” she said.

Kimbugwe Solomon, the league’s PR Officer, emphasized the growing popularity of school leagues.

“Schools recognize the importance of maintaining bonds and physical fitness even after graduation from secondary school and university,” he said.

With anticipation building for Sunday’s matches, Kimbugwe assured fans of an electrifying atmosphere at Kings Park Arena.

“Whether you have plans or not this Sunday, the only place to be is Kings Park Arena! Expect thrilling football action as 16 teams compete, alongside live entertainment from Vivi Band,” he said.

“It’s not just about football; it’s about enjoying good food, and drinks, and catching up. If you’re single and ready to mingle, Kings Park Arena is the place to be this Sunday,” he added.

Spanning seven months with seven game weeks held monthly, the Ndejje League provides a platform for school alumni to showcase their prowess and love for the game. In addition to football, spectators can indulge in various board games with a blood donation drive also planned for all the game weeks.
