High Stakes as the 2024 National Basketball League Returns For Second Round

The 2023/24 National Basketball League returns for its second round today, Friday 19th April 2023. Different teams in the men and women’s division will be looking to get into playoff spots at the end of the regular season.

In the women’s division, the stage is set for a clash of titans as the 3rd placed UCU Lady Canons square off against the league-leading JKL Lady Dolphins. This game, to be played at the Lugogo Indoor Arena will open the second round with both teams hungry for victory.

Meanwhile, at the YMCA Arena, Saturday morning kicks off with the 8th placed Magic Stomers taking on the 11th placed Nabisunsa, followed by a showdown between the 9th placed A1 Challenge and the 10th placed YMCA Lady Hamsters. The day culminates in a face-off between the 2nd placed KCCA Leopards and the 7th placed UPDF Lady Tomahawks, as each team vies to climb higher in the rankings.

Sunday’s lineup at the Lugogo Indoor Arena features the YMCA Lady Hamsters squaring off against the JT Lady Jaguars, while Nabisunsa looks to soar above the Miracle Ravens.

In the men’s division, 5th placed UCU Canons open the second round against the 3rd placed KIU Titans on Friday evening at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.

Saturday at the YMCA Arena sees the 4th placed KCCA Panthers battling it out against Livingstone, followed by a showdown between the 10th placed Ndejje Angels and the 12th placed Kampala Rockets, as both teams aim to climb out of the lower ranks.

Sunday’s matchups include a face-off between the 9th placed Power and the 11th placed JKL Dolphins, while the UCU Canons take on the 7th placed JT Jaguars before the KIU Titans close out the game week against the 6th placed Our Savior.
