A win for Vipers in this fixture would propel them to the summit, putting them 2 points ahead of BUL FC and 4 points clear of third-placed Kitara, who are set to play the following day.

On the other hand, Maroons FC find themselves in seventh place with 38 points. A victory for them in this match would narrow the gap to the top to just 5 points.

Vipers head into this encounter fresh off a vital win against Kitara in Masindi. Goals from Donato Okello (an own goal) and Abubakar Lawal secured a 2-0 victory for the Venoms.

Meanwhile, the Maroons come into the game on the back of a convincing 3-0 win against Busoga United in Luzira. Fred Amaku’s brace and a goal from Tusubira sealed the win for Mbili Mbili.

The reverse fixture between Vipers and Maroons in Luzira ended in a 1-1 draw. Fred Amaku gave Maroons the lead in the 33rd minute before Milton Karisa equalized for Vipers in the 51st minute.

Vipers boast an impressive head-to-head record against Maroons, having remained unbeaten in their last fifteen meetings, winning 10 and drawing 5. Their dominance is particularly evident at home, where they have won 6 of their last 7 games against Maroons, with just 1 draw, scoring 14 goals and conceding only 1.

The game will be broadcast live on Sanyuka Prime, with kickoff at 7 pm, and the pre-match buildup starting as early as 6:30 pm.
