Season comes with a notable twist as a number of permanent boxers from the previous season did not make the cut. Despite this, contenders are gearing up for fierce bouts, particularly in categories like light middleweight and heavyweight.

There will be 57 different weight categories in the league ensuring a diverse array of matchups throughout the season.

Michelle Nakkazi, the Competition Manager, confirmed the league’s readiness and expressed anticipation for heightened competition, fueled by the influx of new boxers.

Wildcard entries have also been introduced for the first time, selected based on skill and popularity. This addition is anticipated to elevate the level of competition and add an element of unpredictability to the matches.

Season three of the Boxing Champions League will happen over 18 weeks with action culminating on December 26, 2024. The best boxers at this stage will be selected to join the National boxing team, the Uganda Bombers.
