Jaguars Get Revenge, UPDF Lady Tomahawks Secure Second Win

On day one of Gameweek 15 of the 2023/24 FUBA National Basketball League, JT Jaguars BBC seized victory, avenging their first leg loss to Our Savior. The Jaguars emerged triumphant with a final score of 59-56 against Our Savior.

Displaying exceptional prowess on the court, Kevin Moru and George Agasi emerged as standout performers for the Jaguars, amassing 16 and 18 points, respectively. On the opposing side, Pol Mas showcased remarkable skill, leading the scoring charge for Our Savior with an impressive 21 points.

In addition to his scoring prowess, George Agasi dominated the boards, securing 13 rebounds for the Jaguars, while Kenneth Mesho contributed 10 rebounds for Our Savior. The game also saw notable playmaking, with Kevin Moru dishing out 4 assists for the Jaguars, and Joseph Wacha facilitating the offense with 3 assists for Our Savior.

With this win, the JT Jaguars BBC have secured their third victory in their last five games, currently occupying the fifth position with 25 points. Meanwhile, Our Savior finds themselves in a challenging position after suffering three consecutive losses, currently positioned seventh with 20 points.

In another compelling matchup of the day, the Miracle Ravens faced off against the UPDF Lady Tomahawks, resulting in a hard-fought battle that saw the UPDF Lady Tomahawks emerge victorious with a final score of 68-59.

Akello Winnifred and Hanifah Namuli showcased their scoring prowess for the Miracle Ravens, each contributing 18 points, while Christine Namyalo led the scoring charge for the UPDF Lady Tomahawks with 12 points.

The UPDF Lady Tomahawks’ triumph marks their second consecutive win, signaling a resurgence after enduring three consecutive losses. With this victory, they currently stand tied for fifth place with 23 points, alongside the Miracle Ravens, who have struggled with only two wins in their last five games, occupying the sixth position.

Action in Gameweek 15 returns on Friday 10th May as KIU Rangers face UCU Lady Canons while City Oilers face UCU Canons.
