“For me, it’s all about sticking to my game plan. Throughout this tournament, I’ve focused on playing my own game, staying true to my strengths, and making smart decisions on every shot. I’ve been fortunate to find some success with this approach, and I see no reason to deviate from it now. Of course, there will be pressure on the final day. That’s just part of the game. But I believe that pressure is what brings out the best in us as competitors. It’s about embracing the moment, embracing the challenge, and rising to the occasion.” said Rugumayo.

As the players head into the final day, all eyes will be on the top ranked pro golfer in the country, who enters the day with a three-shot lead over his closest challenger. David Kamulindwa and Rodell Gaita, sit tied for second place, trailing Rugumayo by two strokes.

Entebbe Clubs Davis Kato is tied for 4th with Marci Kibirige and Ronald Otile on 145 after two rounds. The professionals are playing for a UGX 20,000,000 kitty.

This highly annual event serves as a platform for the incoming Captain to host club members and introduce the new management team.

Leading the 2024/25 Committee is Captain Paul Charles Rukundo, alongside Vice Captain Jerry Owachi, who have been elected to spearhead the team’s initiatives. Their leadership is expected to usher in a new era of innovation and excellence within the club’s management structure.
