The match marked the first time basketball was played at the iconic Nakivubo Stadium, which is now one of the new venues for the Basketball in Uganda.

KIU started strong, dominating the game in the early stages with impressive performances from players like Zuri Campbell, Ivan Rumanyika, and Ivan Banza. At the end of the first quarter, the Titans led the Jaguars 13-7.

In the second quarter, the Kansanga-based side continued to showcase their prowess, but faced stiff competition from the JT Jaguars, led by Captain Victor Bwana. The Jaguars managed to narrow KIU’s lead to 4 points, with the half-time score standing at 26-22 in favor of the KIU Titans.

The second half was filled with thrilling action, as both teams put up a strong performance. However, the KIU Titans stood out, determined to secure the victory.

American shooting guard Zuri Campbell for the KIU Titans hit two crucial three-pointers in the game to help his team emerge victorious.
