Mr Eazi’s Philanthropy Elevates Ugandan Boxing Scene

Uganda’s boxing landscape has received a significant boost with the backing of international music star and entrepreneur Mr Eazi. The Nigerian sensation, renowned for his innovative business ventures, has set his sights on uplifting Ugandan boxing by supporting the Zebra Boxing Club and the refurbishment of the Zebra Boxing Community Gym in Uganda.

Founded by Isaac Ssenyange, popularly known as Zebra Mando, the former captain of the Uganda National Boxing Team in 2004, the Zebra Boxing Club stands as a beacon of hope for aspiring boxers in the region. With Mr Eazi’s support through Choplife Gaming, the gym is set for refurbishment, offering renewed hope for its completion and the continuation of Zebra’s legacy.

Mr Eazi’s involvement is not merely financial; but a commitment to empower the community and provide a safe haven for young boxers to hone their skills, bolster confidence, and nurture resilience. This initiative underscores the club’s mission to positively impact lives through the discipline and camaraderie of boxing, illustrating the transformative power of sports in fostering personal growth and community development.

Isaac Zebra Mando Ssenyange Junior, a professional boxer, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am very happy for the offer from Mr. Eazi. This donation will definitely change the lives of many in Uganda’s boxing fraternity. This gym will surely serve the talents as we discover many more so that we also uplift the legacy of Zebra Mando Ssenyange Senior.”

This isn’t the first time Mr Eazi has lent his support to the sport of boxing. Previously, he played a pivotal role in renovating the Bronxy Boxing Gym in Accra, Ghana, elevating it to international standards and enhancing its capacity to produce world-class athletes.

Mr Eazi’s venture into supporting Ugandan boxing aligns seamlessly with his passion for African development and investment in sports betting and gaming through Choplife Gaming. His dedication to African entertainment and sports promotion shines through his strategic investments and operational expertise.

“We want to use entertainment to lift up the ghettos. This is through music and sports where boxing is definitely part and parcel. There is too much talent in the ghettos and we want to promote these local talents,” Mr Eazi stated.

The timing of Mr Eazi’s support couldn’t be more opportune, as Ugandan boxing experiences a resurgence in popularity. Despite facing challenges like limited funding and inadequate infrastructure, the influx of new talent has reignited hope among fans.

Mr Eazi’s involvement promises to inspire a new generation of boxers and elevate the profile of Ugandan boxing on the international stage.
