Junior Gazelles into Semis of FIBA U18 Women’s AfroBasket Qualifiers

The Junior Gazelles will represent Uganda at the ISF World Schools Basketball Championship in China after a dominant performance in the FIBA Zone Five Under 18 AfroBasket Qualifiers held at Lugogo.

The team showcased their prowess throughout the qualifiers, triumphing in every game and culminating their campaign with a resounding victory over Rwanda in the final match to claim the Zone Five champions trophy.

Scheduled to commence on Saturday, June 23rd, in China, the World Schools Basketball Championship will serve as crucial preparation for the Junior Gazelles as they gear up for the upcoming Under 18 Afrobasket Championships set to take place in South Africa.

In a parallel representation, Elite High School Entebbe will represent Uganda in the boys’ category of the championship.
