After featuring in the Pepsi University Football League (UFL) for his last season, Geoffrey Gagganga had a dream to play in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
“The next step is to play in the UPL and hopefully for one of the biggest teams on the land,” Gagganga said after being named MVP at the UFL Awards ceremony.
Almost a month later, he is now set to realise his dream with a move to seven-time UPL champions Express reportedly close.
He was an instrumental player at Uganda Christian University and was part of the winning team in 2019 against St Lawrence University.
The skipper climaxed his time in the UFL on a high after he was named the 2024 Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Midfielder of the Season despite UCU losing 3-1 to Nkumba University in the final.
He previously played for CATDA FC in the Kampala Regional League, and Buddu and Kyagwe in the Airtel Masaza Cup.
The Red Eagles are gearing up for the 2024/25 campaign that will begin by defending their CECAFA Club Championship in Tanzania and Zanzibar.
