International Schools Alumni League Continues to Thrill at Legends

The International Schools Tournament League, which kicked off on June 22, is set to run until September 7, 2024, offering an exciting summer of football. On Saturday, July 6, the league marked its third match day at the Legends grounds.

For the next ten weeks, football enthusiasts can enjoy a plethora of matches while also engaging in the business hub set up by the international schools.

This hub provides excellent opportunities for networking, product showcasing, and customer engagement. The weekends promise a variety of entertainment, including game nights and quiz nights, ensuring something new and exciting for everyone.

The ISA League features eight schools, each with up to two team slots. The participating schools are Kabojja, Vienna College, Kampala International School of Uganda (KISU), International School of Uganda (ISU), Aga Khan High School, British School of Kampala (BSK), and a team comprising alumni from international schools in Kenya and Uganda.

The league has already seen some notable victories. On the first game day, the Kids Who Lions secured the biggest win with a 3-0 score. The second game day saw the Taibah Olympians achieve a significant 4-0 victory, while the Harambee Stars also celebrated a notable 4-2 win.

Travis Ngobi of the Vienna Titans reflected on his experience after a 3-1 win against the Aga Khan Super Strikers.

“Participating in this league means a lot. It’s refreshing to see many schoolmates and people I grew up with, even from other schools. It’s great to feel competitive again, reminding me of my childhood. I highly recommend people come out and support. There’s a lot of talent here, and the football is serious,” Ngobi said.

The ISA League holds immense importance for students, fostering pride and competition that they have long missed. Looking ahead, the Vienna Titans will face the Super Strikers next weekend, with seven more games to follow.

Matches will continue every Saturday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Legends rugby grounds, promising more thrilling football action.
