City Oilers Head Coach Andrew Tendo is lending his expertise to the NBA stage as a guest coach for the Portland Trail Blazers during the NBA 2K25 Summer League 2024.
The tournament will take place from July 12 to July 22 in Las Vegas, featuring teams from all 30 NBA franchises.
The Trail Blazers’ Summer League roster, includes notable players such as rookie Donovan Clingan, the No. 7 overall pick, alongside second-year talents Kris Murray and Rayan Rupert, and third-year forward Justin Minaya.
The team will be led by Portland assistant coach Jonah Herscu, with Tendo and other coaches providing support.
Andrew Tendo joined basketball coaching immediately after his retirement, first as an assistant coach before being promoted to head coach of City Oilers.
Under his guidance, the Oilers have won the National Basketball League six times and reached the Basketball Africa League twice.
The Summer League will be hosted at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with each team playing at least five games.
The top four teams will advance to the playoffs on July 21, culminating in the championship game on July 22.
Portland’s game schedule is as follows:

– July 19 at Charlotte Hornets
Meanwhile, the City Oilers who finished top seed in the regular National Basketball League season will face the Rockets in the Playoffs quarterfinals under the guidance of assistant coach Ben Komakech.
