FEASSA Games 2024: 20 Teams to Represent Uganda in the Primary Schools Category

A total of 20 teams will represent Uganda in the primary schools category at the 21st edition of the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Association (FEASSA) Games, set to kick-off today in Bukedea.

The Ugandan contingent will compete in five different sports disciplines: Football, Volleyball, Netball, Athletics and Goal Ball.

In Football, six teams qualified to represent Uganda. On the boys’ side, Seeta Junior School, Mukono Junior Primary School, and Rays of Grace Primary School will represent, while the girls’ teams include Bombo UMEA Primary School, Source of Hope Primary School, and Bukhaukha Primary School.

In the Volleyball category, five teams are representing, including St Kizito Seminary Primary School for boys. Mother Janet Primary School anf Samaritan Primary School will represent in both categories.

Netball will see Uganda field three girls’ teams: Heritage of St Stephen Primary School, Uwyefa Primary School, and St Mary’s Primary School Katete.

In Athletics and Goal Ball, Uganda will present joint teams, with two teams per gender in Goal Ball.

The 2024 FEASSA Games will see participation from four countries: Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania.

Uganda are the overall defending champions, and will be aiming to secure the title once again, having won it previously in 2019, 2022 in Arusha, and 2023 in Huye, Rwanda.

Football (Boys)
– Seeta Junior School
– Mukono Junior Primary School
– Rays of Grace Primary School

Football (Girls)
– Bombo UMEA Primary School
– Source of Hope Primary School
– Bukhaukha Primary School

Volleyball (Boys)
– Mother Janet Primary School
– Samaritan Primary School
– St Kizito Seminary Primary School

Volleyball (Girls)
– Mother Janet Primary School
– Samaritan Primary School

Netball (Girls)
– Heritage of St Stephen Primary School
– Uwyefa Primary School
– St Mary’s Primary School Katete

Athletics
– Joint teams (Boys and Girls)

Goal Ball
– Two joint teams per gender
