The I&M Bank sponsored Katogo Invitational golf tournament is set to tee off for the third round of the 2024 edition on Saturday, September 28th, at the Entebbe Club.
This tournament, which has garnered significant interest among amateur golfers, will feature a unique playing format known as the Russian Chicago Stableford.
This format differs from traditional stroke play, where players aim to score the lowest number of strokes.
In Russian Chicago Stableford, players earn points based on their net scores relative to the par for each hole. The higher the net score, the more points earned.
The tournament will also offer exciting prizes for the winning pair, runners-up, nearest to the pin, and longest drive.
The grand prize, however, is a coveted Mitsubishi Xpander, which will be awarded to any player who achieves a hole in one.
All handicapped amateur golfers are eligible to participate in the tournament, providing a platform for players of all skill levels to compete and enjoy the sport.
The previous round of the tournament, held in June, was a memorable occasion as it coincided with I&M Bank’s 50th anniversary.
The winning pairs from the second round, Andrew Kibaya and Edward Kabuchu in the men’s category and Ruth Akello and Juliana Ichabala in the women’s category, will be aiming to defend their titles in this final round.
