Kampala Club Unveils Ambitious Plans for USD10M Sports Complex

The Kampala Club has revealed plans to construct a multi-billion shilling sports complex that will revolutionize indoor sports in Uganda.

The ambitious project, estimated to cost a staggering USD 10 million, is set to become a hub for a variety of sports disciplines, including squash, tennis, badminton, and table tennis.

The revelation was made by Eliot Ainomugisha, the Chairman of Kampala Club, during the launch of the club’s 50th Independence Cup, which is taking place this week.

Ainomugisha emphasized the importance of this project in addressing the country’s dearth of quality sports facilities.

“This new complex will not only provide a world-class venue for our members but will also play a crucial role in nurturing young talent and promoting sports development in Uganda,” Ainomugisha stated.

The proposed facility is expected to be a game-changer for Ugandan sports, offering athletes a state-of-the-art environment to train and compete.

The club is currently exploring various revenue sources to fund this ambitious project, which is expected to significantly boost the club’s reputation and attract more members.

As the Kampala Club celebrates its 50th Independence Cup, this exciting announcement has generated significant buzz among sports enthusiasts and the wider community.

The tournament, which will conclude on October 8th, is a testament to the club’s rich history and commitment to fostering a vibrant sports culture.
