Cricket Cranes’ Clinical Performance Sinks Titans XI in SA Tour

The Cricket Cranes showcased a dominant performance in their second 50-over match of the tour of South Africa, securing a resounding 117-run victory over the Titans XI (Club II) at Irene VCC.

Batting first, Uganda posted a competitive total of 244 runs in 48.1 overs, thanks to solid contributions from Robinson Obuya (46), Riazat Ali Shah (41), and Alpesh Ramjani (40).

The Titans’ bowling attack, led by M. Jackson (3/41), managed to contain the Ugandan batters but couldn’t prevent them from reaching a respectable score.

In reply, the Titans XI struggled to get going, losing wickets at regular intervals.

Despite efforts from B. Snyman (28), T. Gouws (23), and R. Van Rooyen (21), the Titans were unable to match the Ugandan total and were eventually bowled out for 127 runs in 29.2 overs.

Uganda’s bowling unit was exceptional, with Frank Nsubuga, Joseph Baguma, Henry Ssenyondo, Alpesh Ramjani, and Cosmas Kyewuta all making significant contributions.

Their disciplined bowling and accurate line and length proved too much for the Titans batters.

With this victory, Uganda has made a strong start to their tour and will be looking to carry the momentum into their next match on October 8th.
