This competition is a key event on the pathway to the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

The Challenge League B tournament will offer fans an exciting opportunity to witness competitive cricket, with the matches being held free of charge.

The tournament is a crucial part of the qualification process for the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, set to take place in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.

Uganda’s successful history of hosting international cricket events has earned it the trust of the International Cricket Council (ICC) once again.

Eng. Fred Lutaaya, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), expressed the pride of the nation in hosting the event:

“We are thrilled to be hosting the 1st round of the Challenge League as Uganda. This opportunity reflects the ICC’s confidence in the Uganda Cricket Association as a capable host nation. Having previously hosted the same event in 2022 and the finals of the Women’s World Cup Qualifiers last year, we see this tournament as an incredible opportunity for our players to showcase their skills. We invite everyone to join us for what promises to be an unforgettable experience.”

Key fixtures include Uganda’s opener against Singapore on November 6, 2024, followed by matches against Tanzania, Hong Kong, Italy, and Bahrain in subsequent days.

Rest days are scheduled throughout the tournament, ensuring players remain fresh for their intense matchups.

Selected Fixtures:

Wednesday, 6 November 2024: Uganda vs Singapore

Saturday, 9 November 2024: Uganda vs Tanzania

Sunday, 10 November 2024: Uganda vs Hong Kong

Wednesday, 13 November 2024: Uganda vs Italy

Saturday, 16 November 2024: Uganda vs Bahrain

Teams are expected to arrive on November 4, with the tournament concluding on November 16.
