City Tyres East Africa Badminton Challenge 2024 Kicks Off

The competition features categories for primary schools, secondary schools, universities, companies, veterans, professionals, and corporates, showcasing the diverse range of players involved.

With a remarkable 1,505 entries, this year’s event has seen a significant increase in participation compared to the previous year.

Among the competitors is Bukenya Ramia, a student from Mbogo High School, who finished second last year.

Returning from the World Junior Championships in China, where Uganda ranked 37th out of 40 countries, Ramia is determined to claim the top spot this time.

“After gaining all the experience and training in this field of badminton, this time I’m going to win,” she confidently stated.

As the tournament unfolds, the excitement is palpable. Athletes from across East Africa are ready to showcase their skills and represent their countries in what promises to be a thrilling celebration of badminton and camaraderie.
