Uganda Makes a Strong Start to ICC CWC Challenge League B

The Cricket Cranes made a promising start to their ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League B campaign, defeating Singapore by 7 wickets in their opening match at the Entebbe Cricket Oval.

Uganda, batting second, chased down the target of 83 runs with ease, thanks to a disciplined bowling performance and a steady batting effort.

Spinners Dinesh Nakrani and Alpesh Ramjani were the stars of the show, picking up six wickets between them.

Nakrani’s impressive figures of 6/20 earned him the Player of the Match award.

Earlier, Singapore, batting first, struggled to build partnerships and were bowled out for 82 runs in 38.4 overs.

Aman Desai (26) and Aritra Dutta (19) were the top scorers for their side.

This victory sets the tone for Uganda’s campaign in the tournament. The team will be looking to carry this momentum into their next match against Tanzania, which is scheduled for November 9th.
