The tournament, hosted by Huaqiao University, brings together top university basketball teams from across five continents.

UCU is among the few universities fielding both men’s and women’s teams, a testament to the strength and depth of their basketball program.

The UCU women’s team will face formidable opponents, including squads from Canada’s Carleton University, Kenya’s USIU-Africa, and China’s Tsinghua University.

On the men’s side, UCU will compete against universities like Brazil’s UNIP, France’s Nantes University, and China’s Guangdong University of Technology.

This year’s tournament promises a fast-paced schedule, with games running every 25 minutes.

In addition to the traditional matches, spectators will enjoy shootout contests featuring men’s, women’s, and mixed teams, adding an extra layer of excitement to the three-day event.

Participation in the FISU 3×3 World Cup marks a significant milestone for Uganda, providing UCU athletes with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and compete with elite basketball programs worldwide.
