Ugandan boxing sensation Alfred Ojok is set to make his mark on the international stage as he prepares to compete in the prestigious Solidarity and Fraternity Boxing Night Gala.
The tournament, a joint venture between the African Boxing Confederation (AFBC) and the International Boxing Association (IBA), will take place on January 24, 2025, at the Sidi Bou Said Gymnasium in Tunisia.
This highly anticipated gala will feature a star-studded lineup of boxers from across the globe, including renowned fighters like Pita Kabeji and Mohamed Riahi.
Ojok, representing the esteemed Brawn Boxing Club, will compete in the 75kg middleweight division against the formidable Hamza Gazouini in what promises to be an exciting and challenging bout.
The Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) expressed immense pride in selecting Ojok for this prestigious event.
“We carefully evaluated boxers across four different categories,” stated Sula Kamoga, Vice President of the UBF. “Alfred’s exceptional preparation, unwavering passion, and consistent dedication stood out. We believe he possesses the talent and drive to represent Uganda with distinction on this global platform.”
Ojok’s participation in this international gala is a significant milestone for both his individual career and Ugandan boxing as a whole.
