FUBA Division One Finals: Victoria Crocs Edge Rezlife Saints to Take 3-2 Series Lead

The 2025 FUBA Division One basketball finals are reaching their conclusion, and Game 5 was no exception.

In a matchup that showcased intense competition, resilience, and standout performances from both teams, the Victoria University Crocs emerged victorious over the Rezlife Saints with a hard-fought 72-64 win.

This game was crucial, as it not only marked the fifth game of the series but also kept the Crocs on the verge of clinching the title, leading 3-2 in the best-of-seven series.

The first quarter ended with both teams locked in an 18-18 draw, setting the stage for a fierce back-and-forth battle.

The second quarter, Victoria Crocs found a slight edge, outscoring the Rezlife Saints by four points to take a 42-38 lead into the halftime break.

After the halftime break, the pace of the game picked up, the third quarter was particularly intense as both sides traded baskets, and the lead changed multiple times, At the end of the third quarter, the Crocs managed to edge out the Saints by a mere two points, leading 56-54.

As the game entered the final 12 minutes, it was clear that this would be a battle of wills. With the Saints continuing to push and keep the game close, the Crocs found an extra gear in the final stretch. Their defense tightened, limiting the Saints’ scoring opportunities, while their offense began to click in a way that hadn’t been seen for much of the game.

In the final few minutes, the Victoria Crocs outscored the Rezlife Saints by 8 points, effectively closing the door on any hopes of a Saints’ comeback. The game ended with a 72-64 victory for Victoria, giving them a 3-2 series.

The focus turns to Game 6 on Sunday, which could either crown the Victoria Crocs as champions or send the series to a dramatic Game 7.
