Kitara Football Club has announced the signing of midfielder Amos Etoju on a six-month contract, extending until the end of the current 2024/25 season.
The move strengthens Kitara’s midfield options as they aim for success in the remainder of the campaign.
Etoju’s arrival at Kitara comes after a stint with Mbale Heroes in the first round of the season, where he made ten appearances.
His experience across several Ugandan clubs is expected to bring valuable depth and competition to the squad.
He will be vying for a spot in the holding midfield alongside established players like David Ndihabwe, Okwalinga Solomon, Ivan Sserubiri, and Eric Muber.
The midfielder’s career has seen him feature for several clubs, primarily in the Jinja region. He has previously donned the jerseys of BUL FC, Jinja North United, and Busoga United, demonstrating his familiarity with the Ugandan football landscape.
Etoju also gained experience with Malaba Youth Development Association (MYDA FC).
Etoju expressed his enthusiasm about the new challenge.
“Everyone would love to face a new challenge and I’m already excited about it,” he commented. “Joining Kitara was not a tough decision for me to make because they are a very good team. This is my new home and I promise to work hard and help my team win matches and hopefully another trophy this season.”
